 La Rete, nets factory, is an integral part of Montisola' s tradition of craftmanship and net-making that has shaped the history of this area and its people. Net-making started on Montisola in remote times; some documents say around the year 1000 when the few inhabitants, fishermen and peasants, made the nets and provided the fish to local lords. This site is an open window on the numerous hammocks produced by La Rete. The hammocks here presented are divided in sections, subdivided and grouped in different lines, from the Comfort – Natural cotton Line characterized by a vast range of models manufactured in natural fiber, our attention for the environment and love for nature are transferred in a collection of products “ecologically corrects” of high quality and design; Comfort – special yarns line is result of a multi-decennial experience in nets weaving , continuous research and experimentation of new yarns, fashionable and different dimensions; the Supports Line includes any kind of supports suitable for any hammock, for the top relax and then the Furniture Line where you can find the imperial style sitting-room or the English style sitting-room, and also many rocking chairs.
